Terms and Conditions

Description of Provider
Neurodigits Inc. ("Neurodigits", "we", "us") operates PlaylistMaker (the "Service") at playlist-maker.com. PlaylistMaker lets you search YouTube, gather videos from different sources, build and save playlists, and, when you ask it to, create or update playlists in your own YouTube account. PlaylistMaker does not host, upload, or re-encode any video: every video plays directly from YouTube through YouTube's embedded player.
Accounts
You create a PlaylistMaker account on the Create account page, after accepting these Terms and the Privacy Policy, either with your Google account or with an email address and a password you choose. We never see or store your Google password. An account made with an email address must be confirmed with the link we email you before it can be used. The YouTube features (searching YouTube, importing from YouTube, and creating or updating playlists in your YouTube account) need a Google sign-in; with an email-and-password account they are switched off, and you can switch them on by signing in with Google using the same email address.
What you can do also depends on your role: administrators and content managers can use the YouTube tools; other accounts can keep playlists in PlaylistMaker but cannot use the YouTube tools until an administrator gives them access. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password and your Google account secure. We may limit who is able to sign in, and we may block sign-ups that look automated.
YouTube
PlaylistMaker uses YouTube API Services. By using the Service you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies to data Google handles. You can withdraw PlaylistMaker's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Changes to your YouTube account (creating a playlist, adding, removing, moving or renaming what is in one) are made only after you confirm them in PlaylistMaker, and only to playlists you are allowed to edit. You are responsible for the changes you confirm. A video that YouTube deletes, makes private, or restricts can no longer be played or added. YouTube limits how many requests an application may make each day; when that limit is reached, parts of the Service stop working until it resets.
The “Watch as a TV station” button opens FamTiVi (famtivi.app), a separate service from Neurodigits with its own terms. When you click it, the identifier of the YouTube playlist is sent to FamTiVi in the link so that FamTiVi can load that playlist; see the Privacy Policy. For a playlist that is not on YouTube, the button first asks your approval to create a link to it; anyone who has that link can read the playlist's title and videos until you turn the link off with “Stop sharing”. Only share playlists you are comfortable having others see.
Your playlists and content
The playlists you build are yours. We store them (their names, the videos in them and their order, and, for a copy of one of your YouTube playlists, which playlist it came from) so that you can keep working on them. You give us permission to store and process what you save for the purpose of running the Service. You must respect the copyright and licenses of the videos and other content you link to; PlaylistMaker does not give you any rights in content owned by others.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Service in a way that breaks the law or the YouTube Terms of Service, tries to get around its roles, limits, or quotas, interferes with its operation or security, or accesses it other than through the screens and interfaces we provide. We may delete data of accounts that break the law and may temporarily restrict data suspected of doing so.
Software license
We grant you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not reverse engineer, copy, modify, distribute, sell, or rent the software.
Your data, its retention, and your rights
See the Privacy Policy for what we collect, how long we keep it, and how to ask for it to be exported or deleted.
Rights and obligations
The Service is provided "as is." We do not warrant that it, or the availability of videos and YouTube itself, will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for outages, data loss or corruption, security incidents outside our reasonable control, or the content of videos hosted by YouTube. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or misuses the Service, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service, and ask us to delete your data, at any time.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date above shows the latest version. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated Terms; for significant changes we will ask you to accept them again.
Age requirement
PlaylistMaker accounts are for adults. You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority where you live) to create one. The Service is not directed at children.
